Reminder about our upcoming spring concerts 🙂

Today we will open our Sports Nutrition Snack Bar for 7-12th Graders. This will be open for ten minutes after school for students and athletes to get a healthy snack. Our goal is to give kids a healthy snack to fuel them for practice. If anyone would like to donate dollars for us to provide free healthy snacks please talk to Mr Marquez. We want to thank the Nebraska Department of Education for funding the grant that helped us get the equipment, and get this up and going. I also want to thank our student, staff, and community member Sports Nutrition and School Wellness Committee for their work on this project. If you would like more information please let me know.
Here are the items we have for the week: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xhc1VeQdAikFh0y2j98asGTPEd8lrL3UA3q98EhQo48/edit?usp=sharing

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Cole. He is a National Elks Hoop Shoot Champion. Cole made 24/25 free throws to claim the title Saturday in Chicago. Way to represent not only Elm Creek, but also the Kearney Elks Hoop Shoot Division. We are all so proud of you and your hard work and dedication.

First Grade had a great day at the Hastings Museum. They learned about life as a Pawnee, enjoyed the planetarium, and watched a 3D movie.

The second graders in music had some fun today playing with rhythm sticks. They love when we get these out! They danced and played the "Chicken Dance", but in a different way than you usually see!

Elm Creek Fire is planning on escorting Cole back into town this evening when he gets back. They will go down Tyler Street then west down Elm Ave to Cavenee's home. They land at 3 pm in Lincoln. We will send a text so anyone that wants can line Tyler Street and West Elm to welcome our National Champion back home to Buffalo Country!! Great job Cole!!

Congrats to Brody and Ashley for being Honorable Mention for the Omaha World Herald Academic Program. Way to get it done in the classroom!

Here is the schedule and link to watch Cole compete at Nationals! Good luck Cole!
