The Elementary Track and Field Day is now on Monday, May 15th we will follow the same schedule and begin at 11:30am. We will eat lunch at the park at 11 and then head to the track.

We celebrated with some Canes for our Juniors today. They scored above last years State ACT average!! They worked really hard this year and scored a 19.6 as a class. That is a 3 point improvement from last year and way above their projected score. Great job Juniors we are proud of you!!

Pre-Calculus class wrapped up the probability and statistics chapter with a Skittles Project. They found probabilities of getting different colors in their bags and probabilities of all of the bags we studied. Then we found the measures of center (mean, median, and mode), measures of spread (range, interquartile range, and standard deviation), box plot, normal curve, z-scores, made inferences, and talked about the bias in our sample. Oh and of course they consumed the Skittles!!
Tuesday, May 16th at 6:30 pm is Honors Night. We will start the night with National Honor Society induction, then move on to scholarships and awards. If a student's name is on this list, they will be receiving an award. Honors night will be in the new gym. Feel free to invite grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, or anyone you want to share your child's accomplishments with. Hope to see you there!

We have our first two Buffaloes that have punched their ticket to State!! Beau Knapp and Lucas Hodges both just cleared state qualifying height at 12'6". The competition is not complete yet, but they are headed to Burke!!
