The eighth grade general music class has been studying careers in music. They have talked about composer, music store owner, and teacher, to name just a few! In addition, they recently created their own musical pieces using an app, so they are already composers! Ask them to play their piece for you sometime.
Elm Creek Public Schools has been notified we were awarded the Nebraska Department of Education Sports Nutrition Mini-Grant. This is very exciting news! This will provide us the funding needed to get a healthy food cart available for athletes to be able to purchase and/or be provided something to eat before and after practice. I would like to thank our coaches for their help as I worked through the grant process. They were instrumental in securing the funds. We will be asking a few members of our community to serve on our advisory committee with students and coaches. If you are interested please let me (Mr Marquez) know. We are very excited for this opportunity for our kids to have something good to eat before and after practice. GO BUFFS!!
Junior High Quiz Bowl team took 1st today at the Amherst competition. They had a phenomenal day and answered lots of questions!

Games will not start before advertised time, so we will not start Elm Creek games before 7:30pm. Admission is $6 Adults/Students only conference passes will be accepted per the conference bylaws.
